The Jefferson Cup is going into the 29th year of competition in and around the Greater Richmond Area. Each year 350 teams (U10 thru U19) per weekend are invited to play over two days at a maximum of 13 field sites, with the showcase age groups at our main complex Striker Park. The Orange Classic was held in South Florida (Plantation, Weston, & Ft. Lauderdale Areas) on December 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2009. The tournament featured over 3,500 players in the U16 through U19 divisions.
The Orange Classic attracted over 300 college coaches from Div. 1, 2, 3 and NAIA schools. The tournament has helped hundreds of girls showcase themselves and earn college scholarships to play soccer in college.

On the eve of Christmas Eve, USLsoccer.com chats with the Quickstrike SC U14 girls’ Chatham Deprospo. Her team had an above-average season, barely missing out on a berth in the North American Finals. They finished the season with a 7-3-1 season, one point behind TSF Academy and one point ahead of City Islanders Academy. Deprospo scored three goals and three assists on the season.

Quickstrike is very proud to announce that 3 players earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team for the U16G. Quickstirke SC had the only player to earn four votes in forward Kristina Maksuti. She finished the tournament with three goals and an assist. Quickstrike goalkeeper Monica Dahlgren earned a nod from Coastal Head Coach Ciaran McMahon in the final to join the All-Tournament ranks. Defender Nicole Smith was one of only four players to earn three votes at the North American Finals.

Quickstrike is proud to announce 3 players have been selected to the All Tournament Team in the U14B and U15G age groups! Congratulations to Nigel Joseph, Tiffany O'Keefe, Kim Sharo and Miranda Tarypey! Qucisktrike is very proud of all three teams that competed in the North American Finals. The trio were arguably the most successful of any club with three or more representatives with a combined record of 9-1-3.

TAMPA, FL -- United Soccer Leagues announced today the final Super Y-League First and Second-11 Club rankings for the 2009 season, recognizing the league’s top clubs on a competitive and administrative basis. The top overall club in the SYL this season was the Northern Virginia Majestics/Royals, who scored an 84.80 to edge out the second-best club in the league, MPS Bulldogs/Renegades.
