Directions to New York Military Academy

From New York City and Other Locations from the South.

Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) northbound to exit 13, Palisades Parkway northbound (approx. 21 miles from the Bronx/Westchester County border). Palisades northbound to the end at intersection with State Rte. 9W (SR-9W) (approx. 18 miles). SR-9W northbound into Cornwall and passed the Cornwall Hospital to State Rte 218 (SR-218) (approx. 12 miles). Exit at SR-218. Make a left at the end of the ramp and then your 1st left into New York Military Academy (Faculty Road).

From Pennsylvania and Other Locations from the West.

Take Interstate 84 (I-84) eastbound to exit 10S. Make a right onto State Rte. 9W (SR-9W) and go approximately 6 miles to State Rte. 218 (SR-218). Make 1st left after the ramp into New York Military Academy (Faculty Road).

From Connecticut and Other Location from the East.

Take Interstate 84 (I-84) westbound to exit 10S. Make a right onto State Rte. 9W (SR-9W) and go approximately 6 miles to State Rte. 218 (SR-218). Make 1st left after the ramp into New York Military Academy (Faculty Road).

From Albany and Other Locations from the North.

Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) southbound to exit 17. Follow signs to Interstate 84 (I-84) eastbound to exit 10S. Make a right onto State Rte. 9W (SR-9W) and go approximately 6 miles to State Rte. 218 (SR-218). Make 1st left after the ramp into New York Military Academy (Faculty Road).

From the South

North On Taconic Parkway To Beekman Road/Sylvan Lake/Hopewell Junction Exit – Take Right And Go East On Beekman Road 2.0 Miles To Doherty Park On Left Just Past Sylvan Lake Road.

From the North

South On Taconic State Parkway To Beekman Road Exit – Go East On Beekman Road 2.0 Miles To Doherty Park On Left Just Past Sylvan Lake Road.

From the East

Northeast On Route 55 To Left On Beekman Road At Light. Go West On Beekman Road 2.3 Miles To Doherty Park On Right.

From the West

Take I-84 East To The Taconic State Parkway. Go North On The Taconic State Parkway To Beekman Road/Sylvan Lake/Hopewell Junction Exit – Take Right And Go East On Beekman Road 2.0 Miles To Doherty Park On Left Just Past Sylvan Lake Road.

NYS Thruway (I-87)
Take NYS Thruway to Exit 18 (New Paltz). At traffic light past tollbooth turn right onto Rt. 299 East. 5 miles turn right onto Rt. 9W South towards Poughkeepsie. Continue on Rt. 9W south 6 miles. At traffic light turn right onto Milton Turnpike/County Rt. 10 (Stewarts Shop on left-hand corner & Young's Motors on right-hand corner). Entrance is 1 mile on right.

Taconic State Parkway
Take the Taconic Parkway to I-84 West toward Newburgh. Continue 13 miles to Exit 10N (Rt. 9W North) towards Highland. Continue 10 miles to traffic light at Milton Turnpike/County Rt. 10 (Stewarts Shop on right-hand corner & Young's Motors on left-hand corner). Turn left onto Milton Turnpike. Entrance is 1 mile on right.

From Points South

NYS Thruway (I-87)
NYS Thruway to Exit 17. Get onto I-84 East. Go 3 miles to Exit 10. Turn left onto Rt. 9W North. Continue 10 miles to traffic light at Milton Turnpike/County Rt. 10 (Stewarts Shop on right-hand corner & Young's Motors on left-hand corner). Turn left onto Milton Turnpike. Entrance is 1 mile on right.

From Points East

I-84
Take I-84 to Exit 10 (Rt. 9W North) towards Highland. Continue 10 miles to traffic light at Milton Turnpike/County Rt. 10 (Stewarts Shop on right-hand corner & Young's Motors on left-hand corner). Turn left onto Milton Turnpike. Entrance is 1 mile on right.

Rt. 9 or Rt. 44-55 to Mid-Hudson Bridge
Cross the Mid-Hudson Bridge to Rt. 9W South towards Newburgh. Continue 3 miles. At traffic light turn right onto Milton Turnpike/County Rt. 10 (Stewarts Shop on left-hand corner & Young's Motors on right-hand corner). Entrance is 1 mile on right.

New York State Thruway to ext 17 (Newburgh)
Stay to your left after the toll. At the end of the ramp, make a right onto Route 17, at the first traffic light, make
a left onto Union Ave follow Union Ave until you reach a "T" in the road, make a left onto Route 300 at the "five
corners" in Vails Gate, turn right onto Route 94 South. Apprx. Three miles, turn right onto Mt. Airy Road
Complex half mile on your left.
