Christina Ginley Golf Outing

In Loving Memory of

Christina Rose Ginley

January 29, 1995 – March 14, 2013

The Quickstrike FC family had a tragedy in 2013 with the passing of one of our teammates Christina Ginely. While at Quickstrike, Christina was a great role model for our club over the past years, and had grown to be an aspiring young woman that characterized the perfect representation of what Quickstrike is all about. Christina was a leader both on and off the field, an inspiration, but most of all an angel! Christina was active in many local charitable causes; her latest accomplishment was collecting over 50 pairs of glasses for the Lions Club. She volunteered with the NY Blood Drive, Meals on Wheels and ran a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project during the fall https://www.247locksmithservice.org/residential-locksmiths. She was an excellent student and member of Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society with an overall average of 95. She was a four-year NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete for varsity soccer and was named Captain this past fall at the Warwick Valley High School. Christina planned on attending college to pursue her education in the medical field and further her dreams and goals in playing soccer at the collegiate level. Christina will always be a player, sister, and family member to all of us in Quickstrike. She will be sorely missed.   2016 Golf Outing Link: https://www.planmygolfevent.com/31067-ChristinaGinley_Golf_Outing_2017

History

In an effort to keep¬†Christina as a member of Quickstrike and everything she stands for, we have created the Christina Ginley Scholarship Fund. Each year Quickstrike FC holds a golf outing in remembrance and celebration of Christina’s life. Throughout the year, Quickstrike Staff keeps an eye out for a candidate that represents Christina’s leadership, dedication and love for the game. A player is then selected to earn the Christina Ginley Memorial Scholarship to put towards their college education. We are proud to honor and celebrate Christina’s life and all she has done for Quickstrike FC, Warwick High School, and the community around us.
